In this paper, we present the results of an investigation involving a group of students in the first year of the Aquaculture course of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the José Eduardo dos Santos University in Huambo (Angola). The goal is the development of skills to work with tools to solve and interpret exercises related to one-dimensional ecological models. Specifically, the work culminated into methodological problem solving using the Beverton-Holt model.
