Abstract

Neste artigo estudaremos a experiência política-internacionalista de Frei Betto com o objetivo de identificar o papel exercido pelo brasileiro na transformação política de Cuba que trocou o ateísmo de Estado pela laicidade. Utilizamos fontes bibliográficas para a redação e participação em eventos temáticos para a formulação das aproximações hermenêuticas apresentadas.

Fábio Régio Bento, Universidade Federal do Pampa

Fábio Régio Bento é bacharel e mestre em Ciências Sociais. Doutor em Ciências Sociais pela PUC San Tommaso (Roma, 1996). Bacharel em Teologia. Mestre em Teologia Moral pela Academia Alfonsiana da PUC Lateranense (Roma, 1992). Pós-doutor junto ao Núcleo de Estudos da Religião do PPGAS da UFRGS com pesquisa sobre Religião e Revolução na América Central (2015). Professor associado na Universidade Federal do Pampa onde leciona Política, Relações Internacionais e Religião no curso de Relações Internacionais. Professor colaborador no mestrado em Relações Internacionais da Universidade Estadual da Paraíba. Membro do CEPRIR: Centro de Estudos em Política, Relações Internacionais e Religião.
