Between the vulnerability and risk: actions made in Alfenas-MG for COVID-19 combat

Abstract

In fact, of different ways, the world population was impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic of economic perspective, overall, by the loss of income, the physical and mental health, also the increase of deaths that victimized people responsible for the support of their homes. Therefore, several families demanded financial assistance that came late by the federal government and with insufficient value for the supply of basic needs. There were emerged local initiatives to help the local population, such as NGOs, city hall, universities, and civil society. In this way, we shed light on some actions of the Secretary of Social Action and of Children (SASC) of Alfenas-MG municipality and also of scientific research as the mapping made by academics of Unifal-MG in order to identify this population (in case more than 60 years old and receive the Continued Installment Benefit BPC and the Bolsa Família Program) in partnership with SASC of Alfenas-MG that was based on the improvement of pandemic combat by Secretary of Health and Health of Family agents. The results shed light on important actions that were crucial in pandemic combat perspective with planned actions since the registration of families, the logistics and distribution of food basket until the spatialization of vulnerable population with the mapping made. The conclusion was that it has not only just been made isolated actions in problem combat as an emergency and help of population that was pass through more needs, but, overall, planned actions among government and academy encouraging in this perspective other actions by society.
