A efetividade prática e sustenabilidade da Lei Maria da Penha

Abstract

The "Maria da Penha" Act (LMP) was created as a result of an incessant fight of the woman that had suffered abuses and now it is one of the most modern laws in the woman's defense. This paper looked for to analyze the effectiveness of LMP, verifying which instruments the country possesses for combat to the violence against the woman. The study used the documental and theoretical method of the deductive type, with doctrinaire bibliographical analysis. It is concluded that the instruments brought in LMP are modern and they set down actions that, if applied correctly, they would tend to very positive results. However his application is not integral, presenting deficits and lacking public politics of protection to the woman.
