Abstract

ABSTRACT

This article presents a descriptive and qualitative analysis of the Programs of Brazilian Post-graduation in Philosophy considering the collected data and the evaluation made by CAPES. It shows the quantitative and qualitative rise in the field, including geographic expansion and also the increase in the production of thesis, dissertations, publications and events. This study also points out to the short term perspectives that should be pursued, especially considering the increase in number of courses in the center-west and north regions as well as the internationalization of scientific production.

Author Biography

Marcelo Perine, PUCSP

Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq - Nível 1D. Possui graduação em Filosofia (1974) e em Teologia (1980). Possui mestrado (1983) e doutorado (1986) em Filosofia pela Pontifícia Universidade Gregoriana de Roma. Professor Associado da PUC/SP. Coordenador da área de Filosofia/Teologia na CAPES. Publicou 66 artigos em periódicos especializados, 20 capítulos de livros, 6 livros autorais e organizou 3 livros. Traduziu 26 livros e 21 artigos para periódicos científicos. Orientou 3 trabalhos de Iniciação científica, 18 dissertações de mestrado e 4 teses de doutorado na área de Filosofia. Atualmente coordena 2 projetos de pesquisa, um com bolsa de produtividade do CNPq. Atua na área de Filosofia, com ênfase em História da Filosofia Antiga e Ética. Em seu currículo Lattes os termos mais freqüentes na contextualização da produção científica, tecnológica e artístico-cultural são: Ética, Platão, Filosofia, Aristóteles, Política, Eric Weil, Moral, Violência, Deus e Kant.
