In this paper, we report a didactic workshop for teachers of basic education in a private school, located in São Paulo state. We use blended learning, as well as the active methodology of Station-rotation model, to propose a study of the seasons in a topocentric view. Using virtual resources, we proposed to teachers provide us a satisfactory explanation about the occurrence of the phenomenon, using a directed study on the movement of the Sun in the sky. Our results showed most teachers still referred to non-topocentric and conceptually wrong explanations. We conclude, therefore, that moments of continuing formation are important for the promotion of contemporary Science Teaching and allied to new technologies.
