THE EFFECTIVENESS POLITICS OF LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: An Analysis on the Individual Microentrepreneurs the Municipality of Mari / Paraíba

Abstract

The study aims to demonstrate the importance of legislation to ensure development, through governmental actions related to the figure of the MEI in the Municipality of Mari / PB. For this, a bibliographical research was developed using books and articles that deal with the subject. The empirical approach to research is qualitative descriptive. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire type. The items used in the survey indicate the impacts on the economic structure, the degree of sustainability of the enterprises, market access, government purchases and Municipal Law no. 758/2010, as well as the public policies for the MEI's service and formalization. It was used as reference the research elaborated by the SEBRAE in the year of 2015 that analyzed the profile of the MEI. The scale used was of Likert type ranging from: Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Often and Always. The research sample can be classified as intentional non-probabilistic with a total of 50Microentrepreneurs. The results indicate the lack of effectiveness of public policies directed at the MEI, and that local legislation does not guarantee access to the market and public procurement.
