The objective of the research is to map the Critical Success Factors (CSF) of Industrial Biotechnology firms. The work has a qualitative approach, implemented by researching secondary data and conducting interviews with experts. Data analysis was performed using the technique of saturation and analysis of the nuclei of meaning. The work gains relevance due to the identification and mapping of the FCS of Industrial Biotechnology, identified as a very dynamic and innovative area, where there is a lack of studies in national journals in the field of administration and economics. As the main results of the investigation, the following categories of FCS emerged: resources; partnerships; legal certainty; market; government and integration of the production chain. As a theoretical contribution, the study collaborates with filling the gap regarding the lack of studies in the area and with the construction of a mapping of the FCS for the industrial biotechnology segment.
