Abstract

This study analyzes the alignment of hospital management in a private healthcare unit with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proposed by the UN 2030 Agenda. Hospitals, due to their high consumption of resources and significant generation of waste, have a direct impact on the environment. Although SDG 3, which promotes health and well-being, is central to hospital activities, other SDGs, such as those focused on responsible consumption and production (SDG 12) and action against global climate change (SDG 13), also stand out in the search for sustainability in the sector. The objective of the study is to analyze how a private hospital promotes sustainability, reduces its environmental impact and strengthens access to
quality health services, aligning itself in an integrated manner with the SDGs. The research, with a qualitative approach, of a basic nature and descriptive objective, was carried out through documentary analysis and evaluated the contributions of the institution in different sustainable
fronts. The results indicate a significant commitment to the SDGs, highlighting initiatives and partnerships that target environmental impact and promote social well-being. Future studies exploring new strategies to expand the adoption of sustainable innovations in hospital units may be possible.
