Abstract

This study addresses the incorporation of the stakeholders' perspective in the municipal management of Romaria, MG, from the perspective of the EESSGG strategy to promote
sustainable development. The objective was to analyze how municipal managers integrate the interests of stakeholders into public policies in Romaria. A qualitative approach was used, with documentary analysis and semi-structured interviews with municipal managers and representatives of different stakeholders, such as local communities, NGOs, companies, educational institutions, the health sector, tourists and rural producers. The results indicate that the EESSGG strategy can strengthen stakeholder participation in municipal governance,
contributing to more inclusive policies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. However, limitations were identified in the effectiveness of integrating all stakeholder voices, suggesting the need for greater engagement and transparency. The research contributes to the literature on public management and sustainability, especially in the context of small cities. It highlights the importance of the EESSGG strategy and how it can be adapted to different
municipal contexts. Provides practical recommendations for municipal managers on how to improve stakeholder inclusion, increase transparency and promote sustainable development.
