Abstract

The Information Technology (IT) competence is the effective use of IT to achieve organizational purposes in a faster and more efficient way. The objective of this work is to propose a model of evaluation of the IT competence, for its later use in future studies, which is why we opted for a theoretical essay as the technique that facilitates the discussion of this theme. Of the two groups considered keys to competence in IT and their relationship with agility within the organization, we chose to unite their subconstructs – IT infrastructure, comprehensiveness of the IT business and proactive posture of it, on the one hand, flexibility, and Integration of IT, on the other side-forming five elements in a single construct that can better assess the competence in IT.
