A total experience in 120 hours, in the period from January to March, 2018, where it was possible to follow the nurses' routine and performance. There were 171 people hospitalized in the period, 50,3% (n=86) were women and 49,7% (n=85) men, with a mean age of 62,48 (+14,2) years and 59,31 (+14.1) years respectively. There was a predominance of cancer between 69 and 78 years old without female gender (n=29) and without male gender, between 59 and 68 years old (n=31). Colon and rectal cancer was the most frequent, representing 29,1% (n=25) of cases in women and 20,0% (n=17) in men. In relation to the characterization of people seen at the hospital, there was a similarity with the national standard, which does not vary according to sex and age, with a difference in the most frequent type of cancer, or which can save the relationship with the level complexity of the institution.
