Education and health in health care devices in the training of nurses: an experience report

Abstract

The present experience report aims to describe the experience and the importance of health education, carried out by undergraduate nursing students at the Federal University of Uberlândia together with the professors responsible for the disciplines with practical hours. This report shows how health education activities were developed. It reports the methodology used as a form of intervention in addressing the proposed themes. The topics covered include healthy lifestyle habits, vaccination for the patient with Chronic Kidney Disease and the power of the example of parents in the education of their children. Resulting in positive and negative points, considering the negative points, it was possible to establish a learning process capable of generating a positive outcome in other health educations carried out. We conclude, then, that the topic addressed is capable of directly contributing to disease prevention and to raising the awareness of the target audience about a certain subject, in addition to contributing to the dissemination of correct information.
