Abstract

Objective: To analyze the prenatal care offered to women in a municipality of northern Paraná Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study based on interviews and analysis of the prenatal card from June to October. 2013. The quality of prenatal care was assessed by the percentage of prenatal card recordings, frequency of procedures performed, and reports of pregnant women. Results: There was a predominance of young adult pregnant women (78.8%); with partner (84.1%); average schooling (67.6%); income between three and more minimum wages (48.8%); multiparous women (60.1%), who wanted pregnancy (58.9%); and with term delivery (97.5%). Most had a prenatal card (99.4%); beginning of follow-up prior to the 14th week of pregnancy (71.4%); holding six or more consultations (86%); with annotation of gestational age (99.7%); uterine height (99.4%); blood pressure (99.2%); maternal weight (99.4%); edema (43.3%); fetal heartbeat (99.4%); fetal presentation (76,3).
