Abstract

Objective: To investigate in the literature the teaching of transcultural nursing for undergraduate nursing students. Method: Integrative review of articles published between the years 2011 and 2021 through searches on Medline, Lilacs, BDENF and IBECS, based on the guiding question: What is the approach of the literature on the teaching of transcultural nursing for undergraduate nursing students? Results: Through the 10 selected articles, it was identified that courses on transcultural nursing and cultural exchanges increase students' cultural competence, thus having a positive impact on the attitudes of future nurses. Renewals of curricula and preparation of teachers should be considered for the improvement of transcultural nursing teaching. Final Considerations: The teaching of transcultural nursing for undergraduate nursing students should not be limited to theoretical classes, but should also be emphasized through practical teaching.
