Abstract

This is an integrative literature review. The searches were performed between May and Jul 2019 in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline) and Latin American Health Sciences Literature (Lilacs) databases. Seven publications on the theme were identified, which met the inclusion criteria and answered the guiding question. The articles presented wound responses to LBP. In general, the fact that the laser has some effectiveness in tissue repair of wounds provides greater comfort due to pain relief to patients with injuries. Laser is effective on surgical wounds, traumatic wounds and is also effective in reducing pain and hyperemia. More research on the subject is needed, more studies involving people with venous ulcers, since in this review there was no efficacy.
