Abstract

Angola is a country that has gone through historical periods with various socioeconomic organizations. Therefore, it was influenced by several structural factors, especially in the postcolonial period. However, the relationship of international dependence and underdevelopment retained by the local elite is constant, thus limiting the economic development of the African country. In view of this, this article aims to understand this process using the principles of Giddens' Structuring Theory and the Marxist Theories of Lenin and Wallerstein.
