RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN SCHOOL

Abstract

Historically religion was in all societies, setting itself as an important aspect of human existence and being the object of study in different periods of history. Present in the life of a large number of people, religion permeates the school also, subjectively and through religious education. This discipline is the center of a problem that accompanies the Brazilian education since the early republican era when it established the separation between church and state. This work addresses the theme: The religious education in school, your purpose is to present the  trajectory of religious education in Brazilian education and  legislation, highlighting  the ideas of defenders and critics of this discipline as well as the characteristics of their current model, defined in the Act and Guidelines for Basic Education (LDB) 1996, as the religious education is based on religion has shown itself to initiate this concept and definitions for some work on the subject, produced in different periods of history. As a pre-requisite of the course of Post-Graduate "Lato-Sensu" conducted by IBF/FACEL, the search began with a relevant literature review, and it was decided to hold a stamp of theoretical work that was also with a search the field at a public school of Serra - ES , where it has been a model of religious education not consistent with existing legislation and guidelines in the State.

Historicamente a religião esteve em todas as sociedades, configurando-se como um importante aspecto da existência   humana e sendo objeto de estudo emdiferentes períodos da história. Presente na vida de um grande númerode pessoas, a religião permeia tambémo espaço escolar, subjetivamente e   através do ensino religioso.Essa   disciplina é o centro de uma problemática que acompanha aeducação brasileira  desde o início da era republicana quando se estabeleceu a separação entre  estado e igreja. O presente trabalho trata do tema:O ensino religiosona escola, seu objetivo é apresentara trajetória do ensino religioso na educação e na legislação brasileira,  destacando as idéias dos defensores e críticos dessa disciplina bem como as característicasdo seu atual modelo, definido na Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação(LDB) de 1996,  visto que o ensino religioso tem por base a religião mostrou-se de início definições para esse conceito e alguns trabalhos sobre o tema, produzidos em diferentes períodos da história.
