USING GAMES AS A LEARNING STRATEGY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Abstract

According to the theories on educational games discussed in this work, we can see the importance of this play activity in the teaching and learning process for children in early childhood education. The game should be seen as an activity that contributes to the improvement of the child's development within the educational context, thus seeking to develop and stimulate classroom skills. The proposal of qualitative research in the school environment found that the teacher plays a fundamental role in the use of games in the classroom. The teacher as a mediator makes a difference in how children appropriate play.
