READING, WRITING AND STUDY HABITS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF FREIRIAN AUTONOMY

Abstract

This article's aim is to discuss Paulo Freire’s proposal of pedagogy of autonomy, relating this
with the Social Constructionism, that has a relational view about human being. We consider
the autonomy a process that can be built in a collective, dialogical and collaborative way. We
reflected about how the school can promote the development of studies habits of reading and
writing with students, especially with students of working classes, aiming a critical and
reflexive education and not to promote individualism and competitivity. This article is a
bibliographic study involving this themes, the Paulo Freire’s liberating education and the view
that human being is a relational and dialogical.
