Abstract

This article aims to discuss the psychologist’s professional practice relating this with
community participation and popular education, according to Paulo Freire’s and Ladislau
Dowbor idea as theoretical basis. We consider that psychology role can contribute with all
educational context. With your position of knowledge and of power and your contact with
community scholar’s interest questions, the psychology can contribute for a critical,
emancipatory and liberating educative practice, but is necessary the community organization.
This article is a bibliographic study involving the possibility of psychology actuation and both
thinkers to the social transformation from scholar community.
