Abstract

This paper reports the experience of the teaching practice of future teachers during the pandemic. In addition to validating the theoretical knowledge of the degree, the experience allowed us to perceive the diversity and the new socioeconomic configurations, which impact the frequency in remote classes and access to materials. The Institutional Program of Teaching Initiation Scholarship - Pibid - promoted new challenges in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic related to the effective adoption of active methodologies. The classes of the early years of elementary school of the Escola Estadual Assis das Chagas in Belo Horizonte (MG), through gamified activities planned and elaborated by extensionists and made available on digital platforms for use synchronously and asynchronously by students, had the opportunity to consolidate their literacy process and, thus, the impacts of the pandemic on sociocultural inequalities are being minimized. The pandemic can be seen, in this experience, as a factor that drives reflections on transformations in education that have long been postponed
