Abstract

This essay aims to analyze the concepts presented in the book “A cruel Pedagogia do Vírus” [The cruel Pedagogy of the Virus, lit. transl.], by Boaventura de Sousa Santos, discussing what the Covid-19 pandemic has “taught” us about the school, their subjects and inclusion. Despite the new coronavirus reaching everyone, it does not necessarily cause the promotion of public actions and policies that promote equality. The pandemic shed light on several problems we had. In addition to shedding light on these issues, the pandemic has also proved to be a particularly difficult period for certain classes and social sectors (in all the topics where we discuss the pandemic and its consequences, we find this phenomenon: social inequality and inclusion).
