Abstract

In recent years a religious phenomenon has been promoting changes in the evangelical community. Women as protagonists in the evangelical leadership hierarchy. This article discusses churches founded by women, who separated from their former churches under male leadership to found their own churches at home. They claim this rupture was a call of god. In their churches they find in their own leadership a way not to submit to the imposition of male pastoral leadership and to exercise a new way of practicing religion. This article will approach this process using concepts of gender and religion.
