ALGUMAS CONSIDERAÇÕES SOBRE A (IN)SEGURANÇA ALIMENTAR NO BRASIL EM TEMPOS DE COVID-19
Abstract
The article presents the situation of hunger and food security in the world with information that analyzes the evolution of the United Nations' Hunger Map. This scenario is analyzed from the reports of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, highlighting the situation in Brazil in recent years, as severe nutritional insecurity was present in the homes of 10.3 million Brazilians between 2017 and 2018 , as portrayed by the 2017-2018 Family Budget Survey, released by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. This information put Brazil back on the Hunger Map, in which it had ceased to appear in recent years. Also in this context, the study analyzes the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nutritional security situation in the country.
