AGROECOLOGIA: um olhar sistêmico sobre os agroecossistemas
Abstract
Agroecology, as a science, movement and practice, emerges as a response to the social and environmental impacts resulting from agricultural modernization, such as increased deforestation, erosion, contamination of water, soil, animals and humans by pesticides, reduction of biodiversity and of soil fertility. However, in addition to technical considerations for more sustainable farming systems, agroecology incorporates in its principles values of social justice, democratic participation and sustainability. This article highlights the systemic approach applied to agroecosystems, considering the knowledge and practices of farmers and farmers in the construction of agroecological knowledge and in the development of confrontation with the industrial production system
