Abstract

Along global public health crisis resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic announced in March 2020 by the World Health Organization (WHO), the inhabitants of the most affected countries significantly changed their routines. These changes in routines seem to have caused several difficulties for many professionals, especially for those in the Education area. The purpose of this essay is to encourage implications for readers regarding the health of teachers, since Burnout Syndrome, a disease associated with exhaustion at work. It presents a characterization of professional exhaustion, making the circumstantial distinction of teaching work along the pandemic period; it locates the crucial changes for the continuity of teaching, noting the intervening factors in the field of remote work and some teachers' perceptions. Nevertheless, it is possible to see the improvement of teachers’ health, from a perspective of quality of life at work. It is considered that it is important to engage the subjects involved in teaching activities, in order to promote health, developed through intersectoral, educational, interdisciplinary, individual and/or collective actions, such as: work organization, creation) in art, sport and/or leisure, food and self-care.
