A FESTA DE MOMO PELAS LENTES DA GLOBO MINAS: imagens em movimento do carnaval de Belo Horizonte dos anos 1970

Abstract

The article discusses the Belo Horizonte carnival in the 1970s through the Rede Globo Minas fund located at the Museum of Image and Sound of Belo Horizonte – MIS-BH. These images were taken by this media company to be used in its news reports. The images were musealized by MIS-BH due to their memorial and heritage value after TV Globo Minas was discarded. For this article, a survey of bibliographical references on the subject was carried out, and then films referring to the 1970s carnival were selected within the Rede Globo Minas fund. Afterwards, a critical analysis of the films was carried out, identifying some people: journalists, representatives of the city hall, samba dancers, etc., as well as places, blocks, samba schools, music, among other aspects.
