Abstract

Knowledge management is essential for an organization to remain competitive, in addition to improving decision making and assisting innovation - be it a product, process or service. Therefore, this article investigates how knowledge management can contribute to software development projects in an organization. And for that, it addresses how knowledge creation occurs in project teams, identifies existing practices and resources used for the registration and sharing of knowledge, and identifies existing obstacles to the creation of an enabling context. Using a qualitative and quantitative approach, the case study was carried out at Sinqia, a fintech. Data collection took place through interviews and the application of a questionnaire, with members of the organization's project team and managers, also including participatory observation. The results showed that the main obstacle that exists is the organizational culture that causes few actions to promote knowledge to be taken, directly impacting the members of the project team and affecting the creating of an enabling context.
