PARA UMA ARQUITETURA DO FUTURO - APRENDENDO DO PASSADO: TECNOLOGIAS PASSIVAS PARA A UMA QUALIDADE SUSTENTÁVEL EFETIVA DO VIVER
Abstract
This article intends to reflect on the role of the architect-urban planner in the face of the challenges of sustainability that the contemporary city demands. Countless and repeated are the appeals to reduce environmental pollution from industry, agribusiness and, last but not least, civil construction, considered one of the most polluting human activities. The paradigm of the last century linked to the city is no longer sustainable and needs to be rethought, requiring a theoretical and practical effort, mainly in the technological field, by the political, academic and professional world. Among them clearly and the architect-urban planner has a key role. Therefore, we will analyze the guiding concepts of effective sustainability, technology, the context as Genius loci and the revolutionary action of the project in favor of this paradigm shift. The city and architecture of the future will have a future only if start to think and learn from the past.
