TRASTORNO DE APRENDIZAJE NO VERBAL: REVISIÓN TEÓRICA
Keywords:
Nonverbal Learning Disability, Neurodiagnostic, Learning DisabilityAbstract
The aim of this review was to recollect and systematize the scientific production about the Nonverbal learning disability (NVLD). Through a literature review in databases, 18 articles were found and analyzed from five axes of analysis: definitions, affected areas and strengths, neurodiagnostic, differential diagnostic and manifestations through the life span.
The literature found was repetitive, with little research content and with a tendency to reproduce information provided in previously written articles. The lack of consensus is highlighted as an aspect of relevance for diagnostic delimitation. Elements are proposed to be studied in depth in the further research and the need of unifying definitions and diagnostic processes in order to formally establish the disorder.
