Abstract

The article has explored the existence of two moments in the production of an investigation: the participant’s narrative and the hospitality from the researcher’s listening. Through a qualitative design by a narrative research, which has stimulated the participants’ reports about their experiences in the interview situation (and from it), two moments were identified, and have enabled, a posteriori, the production of new meanings for the narrator and the one who welcomes them, via sensible listening. Thus, the link between these two times, has provided a new reading of the subject about themselves and has allowed the researcher to compose an unique understanding about the production of knowledge in research. As a potentializing factor of this process, it was found the sensitivity to the other, since, once providing effective hospitality conditions for listening, the researcher shed light on new elements that are built from the encounter provided in this type of investigation.
