Abstract

This work emerges from concerns with the training process itself, which led us to investigate if the discourse communicated by the Pedagogical Projects of the Psychology Courses (PPC) of the three Public Universities of Pernambuco are able to train students to work in the Unified System of Health (SUS). It is assumed that this is a responsibility of universities because the SUS is also a public institution. As research methodology was used Critical Discourse Analysis (ACD), as presented by Conceição Nogueira, inspired by Parker studies. The PPC of each course was analyzed, material presented in the results of this article. The discussion item indicates that training is still far from the field of public health, besides indicating some challenges that we need to face to ensure approximations with this field.
