Abstract

This work is the product of a research, whose main objective was to understand the impacts, transformations and expectations produced in the families that experience, in their village, a legal process of removal and resettlement. In this sense, it was observed how the state’s expectation, in disregard for the time of changes in families, and also the various processes initiated and interrupted over the years. This, in the shadow of the promise of adequate housing or the threat of removal, producing anxiety and frustration for the families involved. The methodological tools used by there search were semi-structured interviews, documentary and bibliographic analysis. The research results led to the perception that they derive from the mismatch between State and family demands, a context of expectation that, although not enough to paralyze families, creates uncertainty, insecurity and anxieties.
