Abstract

The present article is derived from the elaboration of the monograph for the conclusion of the undergraduate course in Psychology. In the development of the research, four semi-structured interviews were carried out with black women, undergraduate psychology students at PUC Minas and scholarship holders from the Universidade para Todos Program - Prouni. The participants were narrated their experiences of suffering from racism in the university context. The experience of everyday racism profoundly marks the lives of these black women in different, if not multiple, aspects of their lives. This racism is shown in the injustice in access to health, work and education. In the context of social justice, we recognize here the importance of affirmative measures, especially in education such as Prouni, a tool for the democratization of a well-lived life.
