Abstract

Following the narration of murders of transvestites and transsexuals with knife blows and taking them as analyzer of the encounter between power and a marginalized, precarious and knife-struck body – taken here under the nickname of ‘Waste-Live’, this article aims to follow some events and processes of destruction and death that, in general, constitute the process of formation and management of urban life in the west and, in particular, the repercussion of these logics in the present of the city of Boa Vista-RR. To initiate, some images of this city’s daily life, taking them as elements of criticism to the own consumption of images, as well as conducting accusations and criticism to a power whose application regulates violence and the death of some. In the same vein, the aim was to make evident the inextensible character that the struggle for more inclusive and egalitarian norms and more dignified and qualified living conditions must assume within our ethical and political obligations.
