Literary proofreader and screenwriter of literary adaptation: the dialogue between two professions

In this article, we present a study about the works of the reviewer and writer of literary adaptations, analyzing the possible dialogues between the two professions, as well as a reflection of the knowledge needed for each of them. We approach the concepts of reviewer and screenwriter of different articles and under the lens of the text of Perpetual; Guimarães (2010), we established considerations on the similarity between script and text. Through our questioning regarding the similarity of the knowledge required by both the reviewer and the screenwriter, we interviewed Communication teachers about the subject of work. In the end of the study, the initial hypothesis was refuted, since the writer and the proofreader have similar work in some stages, but it retains specificities. Despite their complementary performances, the materials they deal with fall into different textual genres and require specific treatment.
