the impacts generated by the COVID-19 crisis on contractual legal relations

The present work consists of a critical and doctrinal analysis regarding the institute of contracts and the impacts generated by the Covid-19 pandemic. Such impacts directly affect various contractual modalities, each with their respective particularities. In this way, we will analyze the general context of the pandemic, the essential characteristics of each contract and how they suffer from the situation of legal uncertainty created by the pandemic. The analysis in question seeks to illustrate the consequences of this exceptional situation in contracts, the obstacles generated for individuals under law and the possible solutions adopted by the legal system to remedy the obstacles generated. In addition, the work may constitute a historical source that highlights the impacts of this extraordinary paradigm on Brazilian law.
