In Carroll’s fable, Alice runs but never moves forward, reflecting a world where endless effort brings no real progress. The Red Queen Syndrome exposes this cruel logic in public security and international law: prisons overflow, yet crime persists; wars evolve, yet peace remains elusive. Blind repression and military escalation trap societies in a cycle of fear and suffering. Yet, hope lies in changing course: policies rooted in social justice, prevention, and dignity can break this futile race and reshape the world into a fairer, more humane place.
