The proposal guiding this analysis seeks to correlate several theoretical premises, unifying the analysis of language with the theory of signification and the sociological-philosophical conception of the social construction of reality. Based on these frameworks, we seek to reconstruct the understanding of the formation of citizenship in Brazil, comparing the effects of the 1891 Constitution with those made possible by the 1988 Constitution.
