Abstract

The search for aesthetic dentistry has led to the great development of composite resins, improving their physical and mechanical properties. Currently in the market there are several types of resins, which appeared in this evolutionary process, demonstrating that the aim of the studies was not only in the amount of load, but also in its composition, shape and distribution. Being that the new composite resins can be used in increments of 4 to 5 mm, providing a shortening in the positioning time, besides promoting a successful and long-lasting restoration.
