Metafísica e Liberdade no pensamento de H.C. de Lima Vaz

Resumo

Ao propor pensar o ser, Henrique Cláudio Lima Vaz defende que ele não pode ser alcançado apenas através do exercício abstrativo de nossa inteligência. A representação, embora seja mediação fundamental para que possamos alcançar o ser na sua inteligibilidade, ela não pode ser afirmada como fim último do conhecimento. O conhecimento do ser supõe também necessariamente o empenho da vontade e uma adesão existencial ao ser em ato que se revela e se doa à inteligência. Isso significa que a experiência metafísica - entendida como experiência do caminho e como experiência do fundamento – supõe necessariamente o engajamento do sujeito na sua totalidade, ou seja, constitui-se como experiência indissociavelmente racional e livre. Neste artigo, procuraremos mostrar de que modo Lima Vaz propõe pensar a articulação que se dá na experiência metafísica entre razão e liberdade. Para tanto, faz-se necessário esclarecer o que ele compreende por experiência metafísica. Ora, para ele a experiência metafísica constitui-se como experiência do caminho e como experiência do fundamento. A experiência do caminho tem origem a partir da experiência mais elementar que fazemos de nossa própria subjetividade. Ao colocar a pergunta pelo ser, a pessoa se descobre como sujeito, ou seja, como alguém que é em ato. Ao questionar-se a respeito da própria subjetividade, no entanto, a pessoa se descobre como aberta ao horizonte do Ser. A experiência do caminho conduz, portanto, à experiência do fundamento. Ora, em ambos os momentos da experiência metafísica tanto a razão quanto a vontade exercem papel fundamental. Isso significa, para Lima Vaz, que Metafísica e Liberdade não se excluem. Ao contrário! Metafísica e Liberdade se exigem mutuamente.

In proposing think the being, Henrique Cláudio de Lima Vaz argues that the being can be achieved only through the abstractive exercise of our intelligence. The representation, although it is a fundamental mediation to us find the being in its intelligibility, it cannot be affirmed as the final goal of knowledge. The knowledge of the being supposes necessarily the commitment of will and an existential adherence to the being in an act that reveals and gives himself to intelligence. This means, that the metaphysical experience - understood as experience of the path and as experience of the foundation - supposes necessarily the engagement of the subject in his totality, i.e., constitutes itself as rational and free experience. In this paper, we will show how Lima Vaz propose to think the articulation that occurs in the metaphysical experience between reason and freedom. For that, it is necessary to elucidate what Lima Vaz understand as metaphysical experience. For him, the metaphysical experience constitutes as the experience of the path and as experience of the foundation. The experience of the path has its origin from the most elementary experience that we do as a subject, i.e., as someone who is in act. To question himself about his own subjectivity, the person finds itself as open to the horizon of the Being. In both of the moments of the metaphysical experience reason and will takes a fundamental role. This means, for Lima Vaz, that Metaphysics and Freedom do not excludes itself. On the contrary! Metaphysics and Freedom mutually requires each other
