SEXTECH, PLATAFORMIZAÇÃO E OS DESAFIOS DE UMA ONTOLOGIA DO SEXO VIRTUAL

Abstract

The paper explores the intersection between technology, sexuality, and ontology in contemporary digital culture. Western modernity was based on a radical separation between subjects and objects, a model that proves unsustainable in the face of decolonial critiques and social studies of science and technology. Research in ontology seeks, then, new ways of understanding the relationships between human and non-human actors, driven by the crisis of political representation and self-destructive capitalism. The central objective is to examine other ontologies based on the specific demands of digital culture, focusing on new forms of sexual experience mediated by digital platformization. To do this, the research uses Actor-Network Theory as a methodological framework and Queer Theory as a premise of suspicion about the ontological coherence of subjects. The research highlights the "impure" condition of sex, never exclusively organic, and how subjectivity is realized through technical networks. However, sextech reveals a paradigm shift in the construction of affections and the negotiation of desires, driven by the logic of capitalist industry.
