Contribuição ao Cahier: O combate feminista: a feminilidade, uma armadilha.
Abstract
Ouse ser mulher.
“Os franceses jamais foram feministas. Bem entendidos, eles sempre adoraram as mulheres, mas como os mediterrâneos, da mesma forma como os ogros adoram as criancinhas – para seu consumo pessoal”. Com essa sentença, Simone de Beauvoir inicia o ensaio publicado, pela primeira vez na revista Vogue, em 1947, o qual também integra a coletânea de textos de Le Cahier de L’Herne, de 2012. A tradução francesa do texto, supostamente publicado pela primeira vez em inglês, foi feita por Sylvie Le Bon de Beauvoir, filha adotiva da filósofa e guardiã de suas obras, que também esclarece ao público leitor que o texto teria sido escrito por Simone de Beauvoir em 1947, “quando ela se encontrava em Nova York”. Esse ensaio da filósofa já delineia diversos temas, então, retomados em O Segundo Sexo, complementa Le Bon.
