This article presents the application results of investigative activities in the form of problems in the context of Mathematics Education in Higher Education and Engineering Education. The research object was the contextualized teaching and learning of Differential and Integral Calculus, with a theoretical-methodological framework based on Problem Solving and the Interdisciplinarity of Mathematics with Engineering. The need for motivating and effective didactic deliveries regarding the teaching-learning of the contents of the Calculus disciplines defined the problematization. The creation of the activities happened through concrete situations of Civil Engineering involving technology, which required Calculus support. The data analysis was based on the founding analytical categories from the theoretical framework adopted, according to the criteria in qualitative methodological perspective. The results were satisfactory regarding the involvement and interaction between the students in problem-solving activities. We identified the students’ motivation by inserting mathematical concepts in the context of engineering and promoting interaction between them.
