Mapping and Analysis of Risk in Contracting IT Solutions in a Public Institution of Higher Education in Ceara

The aim of this study was to identify and map the potential risks associated with the process of hiring Information Technology solutions in a specific institution. The research method used was qualitative and applied, while the objectives were descriptive and used the case study technique. The results of the study indicated that the main risks identified were related to the budget, incomplete specifications of the contracted object, and discrediting of suppliers in the bidding process. Based on the findings, control alternatives were proposed according to the classification of the identified risks. This study contributes to improving risk management and expanding knowledge about the potential threats that can occur during
the hiring process, particularly in the IT sector.
