This text can be considered an overview of the organization and actions implemented in Quilombola School Education in the State of Minas Gerais, by the State Department of Education, from 2015 to 2018. It aims to report the successful actions implemented, which pointed out ways for the development of studies on Quilombola School Education, based on dialogues and planning from the diagnosis presented by the Multidisciplinary Working Group - established to ascertain the main demands of this type of teaching. Therefore, the axes of raising demands were listed, relating them to public policies as a potent instrument of identify strengthening. The positive impact of this state quilombola construction schools for students, as the pedagogical representativeness and specificity has been putting into practice at these schools, situates and presents this educational modality as a field of resistance and struggle to promote equity. In fact, we intend to indicate ways to make the construction of an anti-racist and emancipatory school education.
