Focus and Scope

The Cadernos de História are produced by the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, under the coordination of the History Department. It is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific works related to the area of ​​History through a political-pedagogical project that perceives the fields of teaching, research and extension as inseparable, its interdisciplinary bias aims to promote critical reflection on historical and cultural themes. the like.

Thematic Coverage

The journal adopts a policy of quality and thematic diversity. Dossiers containing scientific articles of recognized academic quality have been published, in addition to book reviews produced by national and foreign researchers, in the area of ​​History. Some of the published numbers have been thematic, organized based on events, specific activities of teaching, extension and research, or themes common to accepted works, as well as free thematic editions. High quality articles are published, written by masters, doctoral students and doctors.

Target Audience

Its target audience is predominantly characterized by professionals and students in the field. However, given the multidisciplinary characteristic of this field of knowledge, his interest extends to professionals and students from several related areas, such as geography, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, archeology, and others.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, with the premise that public scientific knowledge available free of charge promotes greater worldwide democratization of information.

Frequency

The Cadernos de História are published every six months.

Peer Review Process
The works, received via the Portal in a continuous flow, are blindly evaluated by at least two referees belonging to the Advisory Body of Referees. Accepted papers return to the authors for recommended correctness, undergo a standardization and language review, and have the final version checked again by the authors.
