This article presents further possibilities for analyzing the relationships established between Iberians and African peoples in the period in which it developed called the Maritime Expansion. Detaching the look of the economic bias, as has traditionally been the proposal of the text is to consider cultural, social and mainly religious aspects to the understanding of the contacts occurred mainly between Portuguese and Africans in Black Africa.Downloads
