Application in the Civil Construction of a 3 in 1 tool: trowel and rubber hammer

In the current scenario of the country, the production of the Civil Construction Industry, especially the buildings sector, people have been looking for ways to perform construction services aiming at better productivity, efficiency, with less waste and always taking into account factors such as the best cost-benefit ratio and final performance of its products. On that way, the objective of this text is to report the one year experience of extension project of the Civil Engineering Course at PUC Minas - Campus Coração Eucarístico, named "Inovação Tecnologica: Produtividade e Qualidade para o trabalhador da construção civil". The activities developed involved subjects dealt with in the course subjects: Construction Materials, Technical Design and Construction Technology through the development of the tool and application of it in construction techniques offered in workshops with the project construction site and a construction company in Belo. Horizonte. The students carried out studies and surveys about the tools (trowel and rubber hammer) in order to identify their technical criteria, dimensions and specific functions of each tool in isolation. In the sequence, the process of creating models was initiated aiming at the combination of these three tools in one based on the concept of rationalization, helping to guarantee a lower cost and facilitate the work of the worker, without neglecting the quality of construction execution. The tool that was produced in the laboratories of PUC-MG, and tested in two locations: Practical course for Engineering students at the School and a construction area at Rua Dom José Gaspar.
